POSSIBLE COLOUR THEMES

POSSIBLE COLOUR THEMES

I've taken a liking to the colour theme of my blog, turqoise and orange. So i have notated this down and saved my chosen colours in photoshop. I'm just curious to wether they would work as a magazine cover and appeal to my target audience. I also like marrons and purples i think these could work well on my magazine cover.

MAGAZINE IDEAS

MAGAZINE IDEAS

I've come up with a few possible names for my magazine, DECAY and OOMPH. I've found some possible fonts i would like to use, I need to be very careful with the font in order to appeal to my target audience. I will have my title in a rough, edgey font and my sub titles in soft hand writing style font. This will even out my magazine making it eausthetically pleasing product.
Here are a few ideas for my title font if my magazine were to be called DECAY:

TECHNOLOGIES

TECHNOLOGIES

I will use a number of different programs to design and create my Music magazine and blog, These including Photoshop CS5, Flickr and Blogger. Photoshop allows me to perfect the colours, exsposure and lighting in my photographs, Flickr is a quick and easy way to analyse magzine articles by tagging the photograph and posting a direct link to your blog and lastly Blogger, ables me to create a professtional blog where my work will be stored and can be viewed by people i invite, which can also be customised to my liking. Spreading my work between these three programs/websites i will be able to produce a high quality Music magazine and Blog.

TARGET AUDIENCE MOOD BOARD

PSYCHOGRAPHICS

The target audience for my magazine will be male dominated, approximatly 20 years old into indie music with a strong sense of fashion. Modern Brands such as Ralph Lauren, Lyle and Scott and Fred Perry are all designers that my target audience will be wearing. Brands such as Hunter, Vivenne Westwood and Harris Tweed are all slightly upper class brands which some of my target audience will wear aswell. Possibly as handowns and 'vintage' style outfits. Although my audience is young, they will spend most of their weekend down the pub, clubs or gigs. During the week the majority will be studying, either college or uni. The rest part time or full time employment possibly in rural surroundings built up city areas. Most will have an up to date phone and intouch with the latest technology, ipods, laptops and computing.
Lattitude, V-fest, Glasto and wireless are all music festivals i exspect my audience to attend, those that live in the city will drive a vespa, old mini or fiat 500.
